Reflection

Reflection.

Sometimes it arrives quietly.

In mirrors.
In old photographs.
In the pause
between who we were and who we are becoming.

Reflection
is not always easy.

Sometimes it asks us to sit beside old versions
of ourselves—
the hurting one,
the hopeful one,
the exhausted one
who somehow kept going.

And perhaps healing begins there.

Not in perfection.
Not in forgetting.

But in finally seeing how far we have already come.

Because growth often happens so slowly we only notice it when life briefly stands still long enough for us to look back.
