Quit

Quit.
Some people hear that word and think failure.
But sometimes
quitting is wisdom.
Leaving the room where your spirit keeps shrinking.
Putting down
what was never yours to carry.
Closing the door on patterns that only knew how to wound you.
There is courage in continuing.
Yes.
But there is also courage in saying:
No more.
I quit
begging for peace from places that only taught me survival.
I quit
mistaking endurance for belonging.
I quit
calling exhaustion devotion.
Sometimes
it quits because it finally chooses itself.
