Facebook Memories — Pieces of Who We Were

Facebook memories have been throwing years back at me this date 08.05 — 2013, 2014, 2017, 2019.

And honestly? It feels like opening tiny time capsules.

Some made me laugh out loud.

Captain Jack Sparrow apparently discovering conditioner.

A meme about warranties expiring and body parts wearing out — which feels a little too accurate these days 😅

A black sheep meme warning someone to keep the gates of hell closed because the pets escaped.

And somehow… all of them still feel strangely familiar.

But between the humour were other memories too.

Photos from Fuerteventura. The impossible turquoise water. Quiet beaches. The feeling that the island was slowly teaching us how to breathe differently.

There were Reiki posts too — reminders of the years I was deeply immersed in energy healing and learning to listen to the body in another way.

And then there was ordinary life: cars overloaded with hay, sunlight on terraces, moments that felt small at the time but became part of the story later.

That’s the strange thing about memories.

At the time, you don’t know what will become important.

A meme.

A beach.

A healing practice.

A joke shared late at night.

And then one day, years later, they return like little postcards from versions of yourself you almost forgot existed.

Maybe that’s what Flashback Friday really is.

Not nostalgia.

Recognition.

With love
