In response to Linda Hill’s weekly Prompt:

Life hack.

Such a modern phrase for something we’ve probably always searched for.

Shortcuts.
Ways to make things easier.
Ways to survive a little softer.

Drink more water.
Sleep more.
Plan better.
Prepare ahead.

I’ve seen so many “life hacks”
that promise to fix everything
in three easy steps.

But life isn’t always that simple.

Some things can’t be hacked.

Grief.
Love.
Waiting.
Healing.

There’s no shortcut through those.

And maybe that’s the real life hack—
not avoiding the hard parts,
but learning how to move through them.

Gently.

Breathing when it feels heavy.
Stepping back when it feels loud.
Not reading the comments when they hurt.

Choosing peace
even when the world doesn’t.

Maybe the best life hack
is not about doing more,
or fixing faster—

but knowing
when to pause,
when to feel,
and when to protect your own energy.

Not everything needs a shortcut.

Some things just need time.
