The Daily Spur
In response to Nox’s daily Prompt: https://wp.me/p9YfKm-2cb

A ghostwriter
writes what is not seen.
Words appear
without a name,
a voice
without a face.
Stories told
through another,
truth carried
in quiet disguise.
But sometimes
a ghostwriter
is something more.
A presence felt
in the spaces between words.
A whisper
that arrives unannounced.
Lines that come
too clearly,
too quickly
to belong only
to the mind.
I have known
moments like this—where the words do not feel like mine alone.
As if something
gently guides the pen,
or breathes
through the silence.
I have learned
that not all writing comes from effort.
Some of it
arrives.
And perhaps
we are not always
the authors—
but the ones
who listen.
