To divide 
is to separate.

A line drawn—
between this and that,
us and them,
before and after.

Sometimes division 
is necessary.

To choose a path.
To create boundaries.
To understand where one thing ends 
and another begins.

But division 
can also distance.

Words misunderstood.
Hearts pulling apart.
Spaces growing 
where connection once lived.

I have learned 
that not every divide 
is meant to remain.

Some are bridges waiting to be built.

And even when we stand on opposite sides—
there is still a place in the middle where understanding can begin.
