In response to Fandango’s One-Word Challenge: https://wp.me/pfZzxd-ukB

Conflict is not always loud.
It does not always arrive as argument or raised voices.
Sometimes,
it is silent.
A tension
held within.
Two thoughts
pulling in different directions.
Two feelings that cannot agree.
Stay.
Go.
Speak.
Be quiet.
And in that space—there is no clear answer.
Conflictis often seen as something to avoid.
Uncomfortable.
Disruptive.
Something that unsettles what we would rather keep calm.
But conflict
has a purpose.
Because where there is conflict—
there is awareness.
Something asking to be seen.
A truth that no longer fits within silence.
A choice that can no longer be ignored.
Without conflict,
nothing shifts.
Nothing changes.
Nothing grows.
It is the friction that reveals direction.
The pressure that brings clarity.
And yes—
it can feel heavy.
Uncertain.
Unsettling.
But within it…
there is movement.
Because conflict
is not the end.
It is the space
before decision.
Before alignment.
Before truth
finds its way forward.
So maybe
it is not something
to fear.
But something
to listen to.
Because beneath the tension…
something is trying
to become clear.
