Today’s Word: Stress
In response to Alice DeForest word prompt: https://wp.me/s9Zf6z-stress

Stress builds quietly.
Not always loud.
Not always obvious.
But present.
A tight feeling in the chest.
A restless mind.
Thoughts that won’t slow down.
It can come from pressure.
From responsibility.
From carrying too much for too long.
We are often told
to push through it.
To keep going.
To manage.
But stress is a signal.
A sign that something
needs attention.
Needs space.
Needs care.
Not everything
has to be held at once.
Not every burden
is yours to carry.
Sometimes the strongest thing
you can do
is pause.
Breathe.
Step back.
Let something go.
Because you are not meant
to live in constant tension.
You are meant
to find balance.
And even in the middle of stress,
there is always
a way back
to calm.
