Exchange

An exchange is a simple idea.

You give something.
You receive something.

Sometimes it is money for goods,
tickets for travel,
or words passed between people.

But the most meaningful exchanges
are rarely material.

A conversation can exchange ideas.
A glance can exchange understanding.
A kind act can exchange hope.

Every interaction leaves something behind.

Energy moves quietly between people—
patience for gratitude,
knowledge for curiosity,
compassion for relief.

Even silence can be an exchange,
when two people share a moment
without needing explanation.

Life itself is a constant exchange.

We offer pieces of ourselves
through words, actions, and presence,
and in return
the world shapes us.

Perhaps the real question isn’t
what we receive—
but what we choose
to give.
