Earthflax

Earthflax sounds like something
quiet and ancient.

A thread pulled
straight from the soil.

Something humble—
fibres twisted by patient hands,
roots speaking softly
through the ground.

It reminds me
that much of life
is woven this way.

Not from grand gestures,
but from small strands—
moments, choices,
days laid gently beside one another.

Like flax becoming linen,
strength comes from
what is spun together.

Earth, time, and hands.

And in that weaving,
something simple
becomes enduring.
