Banquet

A banquet is abundance.

A long table laid with care,
plates waiting,
voices gathering.

It is more than food.
It is sharing.

Stories passing between hands,
laughter spilling like wine,
moments served
alongside the meal.

But life itself
can feel like a banquet.

Some days are rich with flavour—
love, discovery, wonder.

Other days
we sit quietly
with smaller portions.

I have learned
that a banquet is not only
what fills the table.

It is the gratitude
for what is offered.

And the willingness
to sit down
and partake.
