Corner
A corner can feel like an ending.
Walls closing in.
Options narrowing.
Back against something solid.
“You’ve been backed into a corner,”
they say.
As if that’s defeat.
But a corner is also structure.
Two lines meeting.
A place where something holds.
In rooms, corners are quiet.
They collect light differently.
They offer pause.
As children, we hid in corners
to think.
To breathe.
To gather ourselves.
A corner is not only confinement.
It is perspective.
From the centre, everything rushes.
From the corner, you see the whole room.
Sometimes life pushes you there—
not to trap you,
but to steady you.
When movement feels too loud,
when decisions feel heavy,
a corner can become
a place to regroup.
Not stuck.
Not defeated.
Just waiting
for the next direction.
