Plant

To plant is an act of faith.

You press something small
into dark earth
and trust the unseen
to do its work.

There is power in the darkness—
in what is buried,
in what waits,
in what gathers strength
beneath the surface.

Friday the 13th was once
a day of honoring cycles—
seed and soil,
descent and return.

Not every planting is gentle.
Some require breaking open.
Some require surrender
to the quiet.

I have learned
that what is hidden
is not lost.

To plant
is to believe
in the wisdom of the dark,
in the promise of rising,
in the ancient rhythm
that turns endings
into bloom.
