Write about your dream home

It’s funny how the idea of a dream home changes over the years.
What once felt important doesn’t always matter anymore.
Space, light, ease — those things have quietly moved to the top of the list.
My dream home now is rural, here in the Canary Islands.
A house on a hill or mountainside, overlooking the sea. Not isolated, but peaceful. The kind of place where the air feels wider and the horizon reminds you to breathe.
I dream of a big kitchen — one with space to cook and bake properly. A kitchen where food is made slowly, where conversations happen while something simmers on the stove. Right next to it, a wash room, with a door leading straight outside so I can hang clothes in the sun and wind.
Three bedrooms.
Two bathrooms.
A living room with space for both a sofa and a dining table — because meals are meant to be shared, not rushed.
Outside, a terrace with a built-over roof for the hot days. Shade, light, and somewhere to sit with a coffee or watch the sky change colour in the evening.
And most importantly:
Everything on one floor.
No stairs.
No complications.
Just flow, accessibility, and ease.
My dream home isn’t about luxury.
It’s about living well, simply and comfortably — in a place that supports life as it is, not as it used to be.
