Here are this week’s questions:
What time did you get up this morning?
I got up at 5:30 a.m. to drive my youngest to the bus.
On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, I’m up at 5:00 a.m. to help get my husband ready for the ambulance that takes him to the hospital for haemodialysis.
Early mornings have become part of our rhythm.
2. What are your plans for today?
Writing — and posting here on WordPress.
I already have several pieces waiting in my drafts, ready to be shared. Writing is where I breathe.
3. Has 2026 been a good or better year for you so far?
2026 has brought some shocks, particularly regarding my health.
I’m still finding my footing — learning how to meet what’s here, one day at a time.
4. What is on your meal menu for today?
Sausage and potatoes.
Simple, grounding, and familiar.
Gratitude
I am deeply grateful for my two youngest daughters, who help me take care of their dad.
I’m grateful for children who are empathetic.
For their independence.
For their hearts.
And for the quiet strength that grows in families when life asks more than expected.
