DailyPrompt‐1843
Are there any activities or hobbies you’ve outgrown or lost interest in over time?

Sewing.
Embroidery.
Things that once required patience measured in stitches.
I used to enjoy the rhythm of it — the slow, careful repetition, the quiet focus.
But somewhere along the way, my hands began to want movement, not precision.
My mind wanted flow, not counting.
I don’t see it as losing something.
More like evolving.
Some hobbies belong to a season of life when stillness feels safe.
Now I need expression that breathes — words, music, creation that moves with emotion rather than pattern.
I still admire sewing and embroidery.
The beauty. The skill. The devotion to detail.
It’s just no longer where my energy wants to live.
And that’s okay.
Outgrowing something doesn’t mean it failed you.
It simply means it did its job — and made room for something new.
