Splendiferous

Splendiferous doesn’t mean perfect.
It means unexpectedly good
in the middle of ordinary days.

It’s not fireworks every morning
or joy without cost.
It’s light showing up
where it wasn’t invited
but came anyway.

Splendiferous is the body still trying.
The heart adapting.
The world offering something small and kind
after a long stretch of heaviness.

I’ve learned that splendiferous
often arrives quietly—
a laugh that surprises you,
a moment of peace between thoughts,
a sense that today is carrying you
instead of the other way around.

It doesn’t erase what hurt.
It doesn’t deny what’s hard.

It simply stands there and says:
Look. This too exists.

And some days,
that is more than enough.
