Peregrination

I didn’t know the word
peregrination
until today.

But I knew the feeling.

It’s the long way around.
The road that doesn’t promise arrival.
The movement that teaches
while it carries you.

Peregrination is not tourism.
It’s leaving something behind
without fully knowing
what you’re walking toward.

I’ve lived it across maps—
from one country to another—
but more often within myself.

Peregrination isn’t about getting there.
It’s about becoming
someone who can.

And maybe that’s the point of every true journey—
not to arrive unchanged,
but to return
wider.
