Headline Weather
The sky is wide and honest.
The field says nothing at all.
Only the paper speaks—
loud, folded, urgent,
covering a face that might have
its own story to tell.
The world sleeps, the headline claims,
as if sleep were a crime,
as if rest could be blamed
for a sickness no one wants to name.
Suit pressed. Tie straight.
Words wrinkled with fear.
What I see
is not just a person hiding—
but a choice:
to let ink speak for skin,
to let headlines stand in
for heartbeat.
Behind the paper
is a human weather system—
thoughts, doubts, hopes—
unprinted,
unquoted,
still real.
Sometimes the loudest truth
is not what’s written.
It’s what’s being held back.
