I wanted to be mysterious today.
Wise.
Powerful.
A proper wizard of life.
Instead, I spilled coffee on my white shirt
before breakfast
and remembered I’m also a wife,
which mostly means solving problems
with common sense, humour,
and whatever magic is left before noon.
A wizard has spells.
A wife has lists.
A wizard waves a staff.
A wife waves everyone out of the kitchen.
Different titles, same goal:
keep the household functioning
and pretend it’s all part of a grand design.
