Altruism

Altruism doesn’t always look heroic.

Sometimes it’s invisible—
showing up without being asked,
giving without keeping score,
choosing kindness when no one is watching.

True altruism isn’t loud.
It doesn’t need recognition.
It lives in small, deliberate acts—
time given, hands held,
space made for someone else’s need.

I’ve learned that altruism isn’t about losing yourself.
It’s about understanding that we’re connected—
that what we give ripples outward
in ways we may never see.

And maybe that’s the point.
Doing good
simply because it’s good to do.
