Church and Chapel

These doors were photographed in Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands.
Volcanic stone, wooden doors, and arched thresholds are common features here, shaped by climate, history, and everyday use.

Pajara
Gran Tarajal :  Nuestra Senora de la Candela
Tuineje

iglesia de San Miguel Arcángel . Named after Archangel Michael.

This one is a bit special.  Built for his dead ex wife , only room for one adult in the chapel.  It’s a replica of a church in Germany.

I love the photo and architecture of Gran Tarajal :  Nuestra Senora de la Candela. Wonderful closeup detail of the stone carvings on the door frame of Santa Maria de Fuerteventura,
