I wanted elegance today.
Soft velvet vibes.
Smooth finishes.
Calm energy.

Instead, I met Velcro.

Velcro does not whisper.
Velcro announces itself.
Velcro attaches to everything it shouldn’t
and refuses to let go.

Meanwhile, the varnish promised shine and protection,
but delivered sticky fingers,
a suspicious smell,
and the certainty that I touched something
far too soon.

So there I stood —
one sleeve stuck to a cushion,
one hand shiny,
and my dignity peeling off slowly.

The lesson?
Some days are velvet dreams.
Some days are varnish regrets.
And some days are Velcro,
clinging to you whether you’re ready or not 😄✨
