Where the Sun Pauses

The sun lingers,
as if it has one last truth
to tell the water.

Light melts into copper silence,
and the tide listens without asking why.
Birds stitch small shadows
into the glowing skin of evening.

Nothing rushes here.
Not endings.
Not beginnings.

The horizon holds its breath,
teaching me that closure
doesn’t always mean disappearance—
sometimes it’s simply
a softer way of staying.

I stand still long enough
to feel warmth turn into memory,
and memory into peace.

Tomorrow will come.
But for now,
this moment is enough.

You have captured that moment to perfection, as if you stood beside me as I took that photo. I lived that moment again. Thank you

My problem is often how to reduce them to a handful!
