To make it easy for others to check out your post, title or tag your blog post “Share Your World”.
As always an optional gratitude section is included at the end.
Here are this week’s questions:
1. How would you describe your laughter? (giggly, deep, infectious? etc )
2. What makes you smile?
3. Have you ever cried with laughter, and if so, can you remember the circumstances?
4. Have you ever laughed at an inopportune moment?

1. How would you describe your laughter?
I’ve always been told my laugh is infectious — the kind that spreads whether you want it to or not.
That said, I seem to own the whole collection: giggly, deep, uncontrollable snorts, quiet chuckles, and full-on belly laughs. It depends on the moment… and the company.
2. What makes you smile?
Kindness.
Watching kindness happen, or being on the receiving end of it.
Children, especially — the joy in their faces and eyes when they are fully present, curious, and unfiltered. That kind of happiness feels pure, like it hasn’t yet learned how to doubt itself.
3. Have you ever cried with laughter?
If this means laughing so hard that tears roll down your face — then yes. Often.
Hilarious films or short clips can do it, but my daughters are masters of this.
When they don’t know the right word in Norwegian, they simply invent one, blending Norwegian, English, and Spanish into something that sounds almost convincing… and completely ridiculous.
Those moments undo me every time.
4. Have you ever laughed at an inopportune moment?
Have you met me? 😄
Yes. More than once.
One moment stands out vividly. I was about fifteen, sitting in church with my cousin and my grandad. Truth be told, my cousin and I had been out partying the night before — and yes, we were hungover.
When it was time for communion (Nattverd in Norwegian), I held the cup upside down. My cousin started kicking me under the bench, desperately trying to get me to turn it. Then the priest leaned in and whispered,
“You need to turn the cup.”
Mortified, I did.
He poured the wine… and without thinking — still very much in party mode — I took it like a shot before any blessing was said. 🫣
And then I started laughing.
My grandad was not amused.
My punishment?
Washing his car — in minus degrees, with snow everywhere.
Fair enough. 😅
Gratitude
I’m grateful for laughter — especially the kind that escapes without permission.
For shared moments that become stories.
For memories that still make me smile years later.
And for the reminder that sometimes, even embarrassment turns into warmth with time.
