Some days are chewy.
Not hard enough to break you,
not soft enough to slide by unnoticed.
They require effort.
Patience.
Time.
Chewy moments linger—
like thoughts you keep turning over,
like memories that refuse to dissolve,
like emotions that need to be worked through
before they make sense.
I’ve learned not to rush the chewy parts of life.
They’re where the flavour lives.
Where lessons stick.
Where resilience builds quietly
in the jaw of the soul.
Easy isn’t always nourishing.
Sometimes you need something
that makes you slow down
and really feel it.
Today is a little chewy.
And that’s okay.
