Do you need time?
A strange prompt, lol.
But an interesting one.
Time…
It’s not as straightforward as clocks and calendars like to pretend.
This morning I was already cheating “time” —
I peeked at the next day’s prompt so I could be ahead.
(Blame my Saturn retrograde in Taurus in the 6th house —
I like being prepared. 😉)
Driving my daughter to the school bus,
the song “Love Died Young” by Elian Frost suddenly started playing.
Synchronicity always has a way of arriving when something deeper is moving beneath the surface.

Because yesterday, I learned that Liam’s sister was receiving hateful comments
and took down her posts honoring her brother.
Even her loving Día de los Muertos altar,
with candles, flowers, and photos set gently on the table,
was met with ugliness from strangers.
It breaks my heart.
Liam received so much hate while he was alive —
and now, even in death, it continues.
His family should be allowed to grieve without fear.
To remember him with tenderness.
To share their love, pain, and memories openly.
An image she shared showed a small altar —
colorful paper banners, candles glowing, flowers,
and a photo framed lovingly at the center.
A quiet offering.
A doorway between worlds.
It was so clear how deeply she loved him.
There were also words —
wondering what heaven might look like when we meet again.
A path, a doorway, a smiling face waiting.
A whole family reunited.
And yet… hateful comments forced her silence.
This is what “time” makes me think of today:
I’m sure his family wishes they had
more time with him.
More days.
More moments.
More laughter and the ordinary magic of everyday life.
People say that “time heals all wounds.”
But I don’t believe that.
Time doesn’t erase grief —
it only softens the edges so we can breathe around the hole
that will always remain.
Grief is love in another form.
It doesn’t go away —
it changes shape.
What I do believe is that people need
the time and space
to grieve without being attacked or judged —
whether they do so privately or publicly.
I will never understand
why someone behind a screen
derives pleasure from cruelty.
Words can wound just as deeply as actions.
The internet has given us a megaphone —
but it has also stripped away empathy.
I hope, in time,
Liam’s family will feel safe enough
to keep sharing glimpses of their love for him.
Because that love is beautiful.
It deserves to be seen.
So…
Do I need time?
Yes.
We all do.
Time to heal.
Time to speak.
Time to grieve.
Time to love deeper than before.
And sometimes —
time simply to remember.

💫 Time doesn’t heal —
but it teaches us how to carry what remains.
