Until recently, many of us believed the upcoming court date on November 6, 2025, would mark the beginning of the full inquest into the death of Liam Payne.

We now know that this hearing is officially listed as a Pre-Inquest Review (PIR).

I wanted to write this update to help clarify what that means — for Liam, for the truth, and for the path toward justice.

What is a Pre-Inquest Review?

A PIR is an administrative hearing held before the full inquest.

It does not examine evidence in detail or give conclusions about how someone died.

Instead, the PIR is used to:

Confirm what evidence is needed

Decide which witnesses will be called

Discuss whether evidence from abroad (Argentina) will be included

Set the scope and timeline of the full inquest

Choose a future date for the full hearing

So while the PIR itself may not reveal large new information, it paves the road toward a proper investigation.

And that matters.

Where will it take place?

Buckinghamshire Coroner’s Court
November 6, 2025 — 10:00 AM

This date is publicly listed.

Right now, there is no public notice stating that the hearing will be closed.
By default, inquests are public, unless there is a rare legal reason to restrict access.

Even if attendance is limited, the process continues forward.

Why is the PIR important?

Because this is where:

The UK publicly acknowledges what still needs to be investigated

The court confirms the scope — how wide the search for answers will be

The foundation for the full inquest is laid

It is also an opportunity to:

Highlight evidence still missing from Argentina

Raise questions about devices, witnesses, and timeline

Make sure nothing is ignored

In other words —  The PIR is not the destination.
It is the gateway.

And we need that gateway open.

Why now?

Liam died on October 16, 2024 while abroad in Argentina.
The UK coroner opened the inquest in December 2024 but immediately adjourned pending further information.

Now — finally — the process is moving again.

The PIR means:

-The UK still considers Liam’s death unresolved
– There is still evidence to organize and examine
-The door to truth has not been shut

This alone is meaningful.

What happens after?

After the PIR, we expect:

A future date to be set for the full inquest

Clarification about witnesses from Argentina

Decisions about which devices and records must be included

A clearer timeline for the full investigation

The full inquest is where:

Testimony is given

Medical analysis is presented

Evidence is scrutinized in detail

The official conclusion (“how” someone died) is determined

The PIR simply prepares the ground for that.

What this means for Liam

Liam deserves clarity.
He deserves a full accounting of:

What happened

Where

When

And who was involved

The PIR is not the end — it’s the beginning of accountability.

We still demand:

Answers

Transparency

Access to devices and records

Proper witness examination

No more silence.
No more confusion.
Only truth.

For those following from abroad

Many of us do not live in the UK.
But we can still:

Stay informed

Share updates

Support the truth

Keep the pressure on

Keep Liam’s story alive

You do not need to be a lawyer, a reporter, or an investigator.

You only need a heart that refuses to let injustice disappear.

And so many of us do.

Together, we are holding a light for Liam — until the truth, all of it, comes into view.

And it will.
