Just a Nudge
This week let’s write a nudge poem. I can be with an elbow or a word or maybe the poem nudges the reader. Set something in motion then post your poem in the comments below.

Just a Nudge
Maybe you don’t need
a sign from the universe.
Maybe the stars
don’t have to align,
the clock
doesn’t have to strike
the perfect hour,
and courage
doesn’t have to arrive
fully dressed
at your door.
Maybe all you need
is a nudge.
A whispered
go on.
One trembling step.
One word
finally spoken.
One page
finally written.
One door opened
just wide enough
for light
to slip through.
We spend so much time
waiting to be certain,
as though certainty
ever built a dream.
Sometimes life
doesn’t push.
It simply places
a gentle hand
between your shoulders
and whispers,
What if?
So this is mine
to you:
that thing
you keep thinking about,
that dream
you keep returning to,
that first step
you keep promising
you’ll take—
go on.
Consider yourself
nudged.
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
