September — Day 2
What’s your favourite summer memory?
It’s difficult to choose just one, but this summer I’d have to say the San Juan celebrations. 🔥
I have two memories in particular.
One was my trip across to Ajuy on the west coast. There’s something about that side of Fuerteventura that feels completely different — the mountains, the wild coastline and the Atlantic stretching out in front of you.
And then there was the fiesta in Las Playitas.
The food, the people, the music, the atmosphere — and, of course, the fireworks. 🎆
That’s one of the things I love about the fiestas here. They’re not simply events you go to and then come home from. The whole place seems to come alive. You eat, listen to music, watch people dancing and talking, and somehow hours disappear.
Sometimes the best summer memories aren’t extravagant holidays or carefully planned adventures.
They’re warm evenings, good food, loud music, fireworks over the Canary Islands and those moments when you stop and think:
Yes. This is home. 💜

My new song “Silenced, but not broken” is now avaliable on all streaming platforms. 💜
