What’s the weirdest coincidence you’ve ever experienced?
First, I have another question:
Was it really a coincidence? 🤔
Or was it synchronicity?
I’ve experienced far too many strange little moments in my life to choose just one.
Thinking about someone I haven’t spoken to for ages—and suddenly they contact me.
Seeing the same numbers appearing repeatedly at meaningful moments.
Having a song come on at exactly the moment when its words seem to answer what I’ve been thinking about.
Owls appearing at times when I’m already feeling an emotional or spiritual connection.
Dreams that later make me stop and think:
Wait a minute…
Coincidence?
Maybe.
Our brains are very good at noticing patterns, especially when something already has meaning to us.
But I also think there are moments when the timing is so peculiar that I can’t help wondering whether something more is happening.
Carl Jung used the word synchronicity for meaningful coincidences—events that aren’t necessarily connected by ordinary cause and effect, yet somehow feel connected to the person experiencing them.
And that idea has always fascinated me.
I don’t believe every feather on the pavement is a message from the universe. 😂
Sometimes a feather is simply…
a feather.
But every now and then, something happens at precisely the right moment.
A number.
A dream.
An animal.
A song.
A person appearing unexpectedly.
And something inside you whispers:
Pay attention.
Can I prove that those moments are anything more than coincidence?
No.
But perhaps I don’t always need to.
Some experiences are meaningful simply because of what they awaken inside us.
So what’s the weirdest coincidence I’ve experienced?
I honestly couldn’t choose just one.
Because after a lifetime of them, I’m still asking the same question:
Coincidence… or synchronicity?
And perhaps that’s part of the mystery. 💜
