MLMM Monday Wordle #491

The Birthday Heist 🐒🍌🎂

Nobody expected the monkey.

That was our first mistake.

It was supposed to be a quiet birthday celebration—cake, coffee, and perhaps a little too much food.

Then someone shouted from the garden.

I looked back just in time to see a monkey racing past with a huge grin on its face.

In one hand?

My purse.

Containing all my cash.

“GRAB HIM!”

Three adults immediately took off across the garden while the birthday boy stood laughing so hard he could barely breathe.

The monkey jumped onto a small trailer, opened my purse and began rummaging through it like an experienced criminal.

Apparently, the cash wasn’t interesting enough.

But then he found a banana.

Of course he did.

He pulled it out, peeled it with the confidence of someone who clearly owned the place, and sat on the trailer eating it while three exhausted adults stared at him.

Nobody knew what to do.

You can’t exactly negotiate with a monkey halfway through lunch.

When he finished, he tossed the banana peel aside, gave us another enormous grin and dropped my purse.

For one glorious second, I thought the robbery was over.

It wasn’t.

The little criminal spotted a nearby shovel.

“Oh no…”

Before anyone could stop him, he managed to grab it and attempted to carry a shovel nearly twice his size toward the bushes.

For several seconds, nobody moved.

Then someone finally asked,

“Did that monkey just steal a shovel?”

Apparently, yes.

We recovered the purse and the cash.

The monkey took the shovel.

And whatever remained of our dignity was probably gone forever.

Nobody bothered chasing him again.

At that point, he’d won.

Last seen disappearing into the bushes with a full stomach, stolen construction equipment, and the satisfied expression of someone whose afternoon had gone exactly according to plan.

Best birthday entertainment we never paid for.

And somewhere out there, there’s probably a monkey building an extension to his house.

At least we know he won’t be working on an empty stomach. 🍌🐒🪏🏠🤣
