Day 17 — Of all your birthdays, which one was your favorite? And why?
My 40th birthday is probably my favourite.
My sister arranged a big party for me, with family and friends, lots of good food, and music all night. We had such a wonderful time. 🎶🥳
It was also special because I knew it would be my last birthday living in Norway.
By then, everything was already set in motion for our move to the Canary Islands. We were simply waiting for summer. I still had one important thing to finish first — my astrology exam — and then it would be time to pack up our lives and begin a completely new chapter.
So that birthday wasn’t only about turning 40.
It was a celebration during that strange space between the life we knew and the life we had already chosen.
A few months later, the packing would begin, and Norway would no longer be home.
Looking back, that makes my 40th birthday even more memorable: good food, music, family, laughter — and the excitement of knowing a huge adventure was waiting just around the corner. 💜
