Day 15 — What’s a huge mistake you have made?

Don’t laugh. 🤭

Actually, who am I kidding? You’re going to laugh. 😂

I’ve learned over the years that I probably shouldn’t be trusted when it comes to mixing chemicals.

Many years ago, we bought a caravan, and with it came one of those large awnings you attach to the side. My husband and I decided it needed a good cleaning, so we spread the whole thing across our big garden table.

I decided to make up some Vanish in a spray bottle to help clean it.

Perfectly innocent.

What could possibly go wrong?

We were happily washing away when suddenly—

KABOOM! 😱💥

We had a satellite dish mounted on the wall nearby, and apparently my little chemistry experiment had created enough of a reaction to make one hell of a bang.

I swear I nearly jumped over the garden table. 🤣🤣🤣

My husband was probably reconsidering every life decision that had led him to that exact moment.

So, one lesson has remained with me:

Some people are naturally gifted at chemistry.

I am not one of those people. 😂

These days, if a bottle says “Do not mix with other products,” I have developed a newfound respect for the manufacturer’s wisdom. 🫣😂💜
