Day 30 – When you go on vacation, do you plan an itinerary or do you wing it?
We’ve always been more the wing it type.
We like the freedom of deciding as we go rather than following a strict itinerary. Sometimes the best memories come from the unexpected stops along the way.
These days, though, our adventures are usually day trips rather than longer holidays.
With our pets at home and my husband’s dialysis, physiotherapy, and other medical appointments, staying away for several days isn’t really practical.
As our daughters have grown up, they’ve become much more independent. They often take bus trips across the island with their friends, exploring places on their own.
For us, a good day out, a beautiful drive, and returning home in the evening is more than enough.
After all, home is where our hearts—and all our animals—are waiting for us.
