Power, Perspective, and the Choices We Make

This week’s Full Moon on 29 July opens the door to one of the most dynamic astrological periods of the year.

Several rare planetary patterns form simultaneously, reminding us that personal choices and collective events are deeply interconnected.

While some may experience these energies as exciting breakthroughs, others may feel as though life is asking them to adapt more quickly than expected.

The key is not to resist the tide…

but to navigate it wisely.

Full Moon Illumination

Full Moons always reveal what has been building beneath the surface.

Hidden emotions.

Decisions that can no longer be postponed.

This lunation shines a light on the balance between personal needs and the wider world around us.

What has reached its natural conclusion?

What deserves a new beginning?

Barbault’s Basket

One of the most remarkable configurations this week is known as Barbault’s Basket.

This rare pattern links Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in a harmonious relationship.

These are the slowest-moving planets, shaping generations rather than days.

Together they speak of profound collective transformation:

● technological innovation

● changing social structures

● new spiritual awareness

● political and cultural evolution

Like the tide, these changes cannot be stopped.

They invite us to adapt rather than cling to what has already outlived its purpose.

The Black Dragon

A second configuration, sometimes called the Black Dragon or Black Kite, forms as Venus in Virgo squares Mars in Gemini, while connecting with the Full Moon and the powerful Jupiter–Pluto opposition.

This can create tension between:

● heart and mind

● cooperation and conflict

● listening and reacting

● ideals and practical reality

Disagreements may arise more easily than usual.

Opinions can become deeply entrenched.

Remember that being heard is not always the same as truly listening.

Sometimes understanding begins only after we stop trying to win.

A Temporary Storm

If relationships feel strained…

if conversations become more critical…

or if the world around you seems louder than usual…

remember that astrology is always moving.

These energies are temporary.

By early August, Venus returns to Libra, bringing greater harmony and diplomacy.

Shortly afterwards, Mars enters Cancer, shifting the emotional tone once again.

The sky reminds us that no season lasts forever.

Sabian symbols

Full Moon – 29 July 2026

Sun at 7° Leo

“The Constellations in the Sky.”

Keywords

Higher vision
Cosmic order

Living with purpose

This symbol reminds us that, even when life feels chaotic, there is a greater design unfolding. Like sailors navigating by the stars, we are invited to trust our inner compass and remember that every experience is part of a larger story.

Moon at 7° Aquarius

“Beautifully Gowned Wax Figures.”

Keywords:

• Authenticity versus appearance

• Social masks

• Public image

• Individuality

• Seeing beyond illusion

This is a fascinating symbol for Aquarius.

Wax figures can look remarkably lifelike, yet they remain frozen and unmoving.

The question becomes:

Where are we simply playing a role?

Are we living from genuine authenticity—or have we become trapped in an image, expectation, or identity that no longer reflects who we truly are?

With the North Node newly in Aquarius and Pluto also in Aquarius, this symbol feels incredibly relevant. It asks us to look beyond appearances—both in ourselves and in society.

♀ Venus in Virgo – 22°

“A Lion Tamer.”

Keywords:

• Gentle strength

• Mastering instinct

• Courage with compassion

• Self-discipline

Venus teaches that love isn’t about domination—it is about earning trust through patience, respect, and understanding.

♂ Mars in Gemini – 20°

“A Cafeteria.”

Keywords

• Choice

• Many possibilities

• Discernment

• Mental flexibility

Mars in Gemini wants to explore every option. This symbol reminds us that not every opportunity needs to be chosen. Wisdom lies in selecting what truly nourishes us rather than trying to consume everything at once.
