Wind
Wind has a funny way of reminding us that we are not in control.
We can’t see it.
We can’t hold it.
Yet we know it’s there.
Sometimes it arrives as the gentlest breeze, cooling the air on a warm summer evening.
Sometimes it howls through the trees, demanding our attention.
Living on an island, I’ve learned to respect the wind.
It shapes the landscape, carries the scent of the sea, and sometimes makes even the strongest trees bow for a while.
Maybe we’re a little like that too.
Life sends unexpected winds into our path.
Some try to push us backwards.
Some quietly carry us toward places we never imagined we’d go.
I’ve learned that not every storm is meant to break us.
Sometimes it’s simply there to help us let go of what no longer belongs.
So when the wind whispers today, I think I’ll stop and listen.
Perhaps it isn’t just moving the leaves.
Perhaps it’s reminding us that change is part of every journey—and that even the strongest winds eventually become a gentle breeze again.
