Share Your World 20th July 2026
Here are this week’s questions & my answers

1 Did you ever keep a diary?
Yes, I kept a diary for many, many years.
Looking back, I probably filled it with more poems than everyday events. Writing has always been my way of understanding the world around me.
2 Do you use a calendar that is NOT on a computer/smartphone?
Yes.
We have a JYSK perpetual calendar with wooden blocks that we change every day. There’s something satisfying about physically turning over the date each morning.
.
3 When was the last time you wrote a letter using pen and paper, not a computer?
Just a couple of weeks ago.
I wrote a handwritten letter to Liam’s family. In a world of emails and messages, putting pen to paper still feels deeply personal.
4 If you had a column of 10 figures, could you add them up or would you need a calculator?
Yes, I can.
Here in Spain, children aren’t allowed to rely on calculators in school, and they certainly aren’t afraid of big numbers! 😄
Gratitude
I’m grateful for words written by hand.
For diaries that preserve memories, calendars that mark another day, and letters that carry pieces of our hearts across the world.
Sometimes the oldest ways of communicating still mean the most.
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
