Ripples of Memory

A pond is never just water.

To me, it carries memories of my oldest brother, whose love for koi turned ordinary gardens into peaceful worlds.
He built pond after pond, each one carefully designed, knowing that beauty grows with patience.

Watching koi glide beneath the surface has always felt calming.
They never seem to hurry.
They simply follow the water, each one unique, each one adding its own colour to the whole.

Life can feel crowded and noisy, much like this pond.
Yet somehow, there is still harmony beneath the ripples.

Perhaps that's what I see today.

I see family.
I see quiet afternoons.
I see hands that created something lasting.
I see memories swimming gently through time,
as vivid now as they were years ago.

Some moments don't fade.
They simply keep circling back—like koi returning to the surface.
