“I am the creature who smells your darkest thoughts”From “Jaguar Song.”
Prosery: Of Jaguars and the Night
Night Visitor
The owl landed silently on the stone wall outside my terrace.
It didn’t blink or call, only watched me as if it had crossed the night with a purpose.
I smiled, wondering what secrets those golden eyes carried.
Then a whisper seemed to drift through the darkness: “I am the creature who smells your darkest thoughts.”
Instead of fear, I felt relief. It had found the grief I tried to hide, the questions I never asked aloud, and the hope I protected beneath them all.
The owl lifted its wings and vanished into the velvet sky.
My thoughts were no longer mine alone; the night had accepted them without judgment.
