If you could erase one trend from history, what would it be?

Without hesitation, I would erase the trend that tells women they have to be impossibly thin to be beautiful.
For far too long, unrealistic beauty standards have convinced girls and women that they need to shrink themselves to fit an image that often isn’t even real.
Some have starved themselves.
Some have pushed their bodies beyond healthy limits.
Some have even undergone painful surgeries in pursuit of an “ideal” that keeps changing with every generation.
It breaks my heart that so many young people grow up believing they have to hate their own bodies before they can love themselves.
No one should feel they have to earn the right to exist by fitting into a certain size.
Beauty isn’t measured by a number on a scale.
It’s found in kindness, confidence, laughter, resilience, and the way we treat ourselves and others.
Every body tells a story.
Every scar, curve, freckle, wrinkle, and smile is part of a life that has been lived.
Instead of teaching young people to chase perfection, I’d rather we taught them to care for their bodies, appreciate what they can do, and understand that health looks different for everyone.
Let’s raise a generation that values strength over size, self-respect over comparison, and authenticity over impossible ideals.
You were never meant to look like everyone else. Your greatest beauty has always been simply being yourself.
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
