Which outdated technology do you miss the most, and why?

For me, it has to be cassette tapes.
I know they weren’t perfect. The tape could get tangled, you’d sometimes have to rewind with a pencil, and after listening to your favourite songs over and over, the sound quality wasn’t quite the same.
But there was something magical about them.
Making a mixtape for someone wasn’t just pressing a button. It took time, thought, and a little bit of patience. Every song was chosen for a reason, and every cassette told its own story.
As a former DJ, I also remember a time before everything became digital. Music felt more hands-on somehow. There was something special about holding an album in your hands, reading the sleeve notes, and really listening from beginning to end.
Today’s technology is incredible, and I love how easy it is to discover new music.
But sometimes I miss the slower pace of those days.
Maybe it’s not really the cassette tapes I miss.
Maybe it’s the memories they carry.
Some technology becomes outdated, but the memories connected to it never do. 💜
