What’s a piece of technology you’re convinced will exist in 20 years?

That’s a difficult question because I think the future depends just as much on humanity as it does on technology.
The world twenty years from now won’t only be shaped by what we invent, but by how wisely we choose to use those inventions.
If I could dream of one piece of technology, though…
I’d choose travel portals.
Imagine stepping through a doorway in the Canary Islands and arriving in London, Oslo, or anywhere else in the world within seconds.
No airports.
No long queues.
No delays.
And—most importantly for me—no flying. 🤭
People are often surprised when I say I have a fear of flying, because I wasn’t always afraid.
That fear came later after several trips between Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria on a small plane. The turbulence on those flights left a lasting impression on me, and ever since then, flying has never quite felt the same.
So yes… if someone invents a safe travel portal, you’ll probably find me first in the queue! 😂
It may sound like science fiction today, but then again, so did video calls, artificial intelligence, and smartphones not so very long ago.
Every generation creates something the previous one thought impossible.
Perhaps, twenty years from now, someone will look back at this post and smile because travel portals have become as ordinary as catching a bus.
Until then, I’ll keep dreaming.
Every great invention begins as someone’s impossible dream. Maybe the future is waiting for someone brave enough to imagine it first.
