Which book have you read more than any other?
Those who know me already know the answer. 😂
Without a doubt, it’s The Legend of the Ice People by Margit Sandemo.
It’s an incredible 47-book series, and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read it over the years.
It all began in 1989, when a friend lent me the first five books. I opened the first one out of curiosity…
…and never really left that world.
The saga has everything I love—history, romance, mystery, folklore, family, courage, magic, and unforgettable characters. Every time I return to it, I discover something I didn’t notice before.
Some books entertain us.
Others become part of who we are.
For me, The Legend of the Ice People became more than a story. It became a lifelong companion and a source of inspiration.
In fact, my new album, Beneath the Northern Stars, was inspired by the beginning of the saga. The songs follow the early generations of the Ice People, bringing their story to life through music.
It’s my way of paying tribute to a series that has filled my imagination for decades.
Some stories never truly end. They become part of your heart, inspiring you to create new stories of your own.
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
