If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I’ve been fortunate enough to call several places home.
I was born in the UK and spent my first five years there. Then my family moved to Norway, where I grew up and lived until my husband and I made the decision to start a new chapter in the Canary Islands fifteen years ago.
Each place has left its mark on my heart.
The UK gave me my beginning.
Norway gave me my childhood, my language, and so many precious memories.
The Canary Islands have given me sunshine, a slower pace of life, and the place where our family continues to write its story.
If you asked me where I’d choose to live, my answer wouldn’t really be a place on the map.
It would be where my heart is.
Home isn’t just bricks and mortar or a country on a passport.
Home is where you’re loved.
It’s where your family is, where laughter is shared, where memories are made, and where your soul feels at peace.
I’ve learned that you can carry a little piece of every place you’ve lived inside you.
And perhaps that’s the greatest home of all.
