Spark
It doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.
Sometimes a spark is almost invisible.
A single word.
A melody drifting through the room.
The first sip of coffee before the house wakes.
A butterfly landing nearby.
An owl appearing just when I needed reassurance.
One kind comment from a stranger.
One deep breath.
One sentence that suddenly refuses to leave my mind.
That is usually how my writing begins.
Not with certainty.
With a spark.
The funny thing about sparks is that they ask for almost nothing.
Just a little attention.
A little courage.
A little willingness to see where they lead.
Some become poems.
Some become songs.
Some become conversations that change a life.
And some simply remind us that even after the darkest night, our inner light never truly goes out.
Maybe that’s all any of us need.
Not a blazing fire.
Just one tiny spark…
because sometimes that is enough to illuminate an entirely new path.
