If My Story Lives On, Let It Be a Song

If I am remembered long after I am gone, I don’t want to become a statue or a headline.
I want to become a song.
Songs travel where people cannot.
They are carried in headphones during lonely walks, sung softly while driving home, and played when words are too heavy to speak. A song can comfort a stranger who never knew the person who wrote it.
That feels like immortality to me.
If my life were ever turned into anything, it would be a concept album.
Each track would tell a different chapter.
One would sing of a curious little girl who spent more time looking at the stars than at the ground beneath her feet.
Another would tell of love found when it was least expected.
There would be songs about grief, because grief has shaped me as much as joy has.
There would be melodies inspired by the Canary Islands, where sunsets paint the ocean in gold and remind me that every ending creates another beginning.
There would be songs about the unseen world, about intuition, feathers that arrive at exactly the right moment, owls that appear as gentle reminders, and the quiet voice inside that has guided me throughout my life.
There would be an entire movement dedicated to resilience.
Not because my life has been easy.
Because it hasn’t.
Life has taught me that strength is rarely loud. More often, it is the decision to get up one more time, write one more page, compose one more lyric, and continue loving even when your heart has known loss.
I hope people would remember me as someone who listened more than she spoke.
Someone who believed creativity could heal.
Someone who looked for meaning in the stars but never forgot the people standing beside her.
If one of my songs encouraged someone to keep going…
If one poem made a grieving heart feel less alone…
If one story reminded someone that hope still exists…
Then that would be enough.
When my final note fades into silence, I hope it doesn’t feel like an ending.
I hope it becomes the beginning of someone else’s song.
With love, coffee, poetry, and stardust,
