This week my question is;

What is the most valuable lesson you learned from a mistake?

Sunday Poser # 292- Learning from mistakes

Talk about synchronicity…

If I’m honest, I sometimes wonder if I have a chronic learning problem. 🤣

The lesson I seem to learn over and over is about letting people back into my life.

I believe in second chances. I believe people can grow and change. Sometimes that’s a beautiful thing… and sometimes it means I end up getting hurt again.

Does that make me naïve?

Maybe.

Or perhaps it simply means I choose hope over cynicism.

I’m learning that forgiveness doesn’t always require another opportunity. You can wish someone well without reopening the same door.

These days, I’m trying to listen not only to my heart but also to my intuition. My heart sees the best in people; my intuition notices what my heart sometimes wants to overlook.

Maybe that’s the lesson.

Not to stop loving.

Just to love wisely.

    I can understand why you would give people a second chance, coz back in the day…life was different, people depended on each other more like a community mindset and it was a better idea to forgive, forget and move on. However, in today’s world that concept DOES NOT WORK. You just have to shut the door 🚪 on that person, bolt and nail it if possible. Never open it again, because giving them another chance to come in means being used, taken advantage of and letting yourself being bruised and hurt for something that you didn’t deserve in the first place.
    I keep telling my dad that, but he just does not seem to understand 🤷🏻 but again I have his back, so I will go (sometimes) in front of him and shut down that door, break it down even and never let it never be built again.

    Having optimism is a great trait. And so is believing in others and their capacity to change- but we should give ourselves a second chance too and see if what they are saying is in fact true or not. Thanks Maggie for sharing. 🥰🥰🥰

      Yes, that is so true my friend. We often forget ourselves.
