of highlights

The celebrations.
The achievements.
The days
we remember

But sometimes
the true highlights
are quieter.
A phone call
from someone you love.
A shared laugh.
A sunset
that catches you
by surprise.
A hand held
during difficult times.
A moment
when hope returns.
Perhaps life’s highlights
are not always
the moments
that shine the brightest—
but the ones
that warm the heart
long after
they have passed.
And when we look back,
it is often
those small moments
that become
the highlights
of a life.
