Monday Poetry Prompt: Beach

The Beach
I go to the beach
not to escape,
but to remember.
The waves know secrets
older than any of us.
They arrive,
they leave,
yet somehow
they are always there.
The sand slips
through my fingers,
a gentle reminder
that nothing in life
can truly be held forever.
On calm days,
the sea sparkles like diamonds.
On stormy days,
it roars with a voice
that demands respect.
I love the beach
because it teaches both—
peace
and power.
And every sunset
painted across the water
whispers the same truth:
life moves in tides,
and even after the darkest night,
another dawn
will find its way home.
